Meet our Shihan and our Senseis
Shihan Charboneau began training in 1992 under the instruction of Master Sharon English. She achieved the rank of Shodan (1st Dan) in June, 1995 and was promoted to the following ranks: Nidan JAN 1997; Sandan FEB 1998; Yondan MAY 2000; Godan FEB 2007; and Rukodan AUG 2011. Shihan Charboneau began teaching Okinawan Karate in 1999 and continues today.
Sensei Sloan began training with OTAR Karate in April 1993. He achieved the rank of Shodan in April 1995. Promoted to Nidan August 1996, Sandan January 1998, Yondan September 2011. Sensei Sloan received many awards with OTAR/AKR Karate including "Instructor of the Year Award" in 1997.
